what's your fave m'sian food???

this post it dedicated to purplerayn. ponder on it for a bit kay.
watched today's 'ho chak' merdeka special and they asked 50 artist on what's their fave food. top 5 is char keoy teow, nasi lemak, satey, bak kut teh and laksa. ohh watching all those super duper yummilicous food just before dinner is sooo disastrous.
so that made me think for a moment. yea, its grrreat to be malaysian with soooo much type of foodies to choose from. but seriously, if you were to move to another country, what would you missed most?? would you like attempt to go on a crash course to cook it? k, yea most importantly need ingredients (would you be able to find it there? the answer is usually yes you can. thanks to chinatown in every country!) and some cooking skills and maybe the recipe. i remembered last time in perth i helped out to make nasi lemak for mma, where i learned a thing or 2 bout marinating chicken, which was so cool to able to eat nasi lemak after dunno how long. imagine all the m'sian students were very thankful for that.
so think bout it. what is your most fave food? which would you most missed when you are away from m'sia? of course, i don't mean when we are in another country doesn't mean there is no m'sian food being sold there. i'm pretty sure there is. but it might not be the same. in term of taste... environ... where else would there be 24hr mamaks to just hang out??! maybe its me but i never really been anywhere that have 24hr mamaks. not even singapore. so don 't ask me where's the mamak in sg. i have no idea.
i have a fren, bea who's now in new york. the last round when she was back, she asked her granny to make for her 'gandum'. its a type of dessert. every. single. day. her poor mom was very sick of having to eat it daily that when we went to visit her at her home, her mom was delighted. at least someone is helping to eat it. but the point is.. bea loves gandum. when she's back, she wants to eat it everyday! as for me... i'm such a piggy that i would have say everything!!! in fact, before leaving, i would go on a eat-ta-ton. like those good ol' days when the family balik kampung to penang and we would be stuffing our faces with copious amount of food... hmmmm....
so, what would be your answer purplerayn? and with that.... we could maybe eat what you would missed the most to your hearts desire when we go out next. oh but the date at the apartment is still on rite...

for love or for money??

here's a situation... would you stay at your current job coz you love it OR leave it due to monetary dissatisfaction? to me, i always say money is not always important. i know.. ppl says i'm a silly cow or that i'm rich (which i'm not!). but then, sometimes, it is a great motivation. at least you feel appreciated. in a different way. no appreciation like 'thanks for the great work done' but thanking with money is hmm... works well too. that is the thing. once is ok i guess but again?!?! more than a year without increment!! that makes one feel rather inadequate in work or something or simply to put it - 'boh song'. sorry, i'm not too sure what's the translation for that. any help?? neway what say you on this?

protect the earth? destroy the earth?

this is uber cool. transformers : autobots and transformers : decepticons (unfortunately, its comes separately) ds game! *squels* how cool is that?!? to be 1 with the robots in disguise! yeah. corny. hehehe... i couldn't find a place to put more than meets the eye! k the function of the game is autobots - protect the earth. decepticons - destroy the earth. hmmm. decision decisions. who to choose?? well the best i would say both! you could be the good guy and save the world! or the bad guy and destroy the entire universe and all living things!!! wahahahahahaha. and of course get your hands on the all sparks. the game comes with story missions and challenge missions. level up and acquire lotsa 'skins'. you watched the movie rite? the part where they all 'scan' other vehicles to become 'beautiful' or more like remodel themselves. yeah. the game's something like that too... but you can morph into any vehicle you had scan. i would like to see a decepticon in any other colour than shades of grey. and 1 thing i heard was that the voiceovers are the same ppl that voice the robots in the movie! oohhh, i would love to be bumblebee!!!! neways, more info on autobots here and decepticons here.
*pics are taken from nintendo ds site and the game is categorised under violence.

self reflections~

a few things i noticed bout myself.... and hope it is for the better and gets better than that!
i'm actually more tolerant! for those who knows me, could testify this. i'm a difficult person to be/work with. in school. at work. a matter of fact, anywhere. today while going thru the crisis at work, a colleague had to come and ask me questions. if it was a life threatening and needed an reply pronto, i would understand. but the questions posed to me was what other ppl could have easily answered. when another colleague was like 'she's super busy right now. could i help you?' or some sort like that (it was in chinese!!!) the questionerer refuses the offerers help as it was felt that the answer lies with me and ONLY me. seriously. for me, i think i'm like 2 sides of a coin. really nice or really bad. no middle. at normal previous circumstances, no one would really want to come near me when i'm stressed. sleepy. tired. hungry. you could've seen a beware red tape around me. as i would have bite the head off, chew it and spit it out. and maybe a small kick after that for good measure. yea. anger management. hahaha.... so back to that case, i actually replied civilly without raising my voice. leaning towards the middle of the coin. cool! :)
i'm attempting to reduce b*tching bout ppl. or more actually a person or 2. yea, can't help it coz they are dodgy. and the things they do. its.... story telling material. but i believe in karma. and what i learn is that after i've done the deed, karma kicks me back in the butt. hard. so now you know why i suffer on fridays. hahaha... its from my own doing. so i'm trying really hard to be nice. with that, basically and hopefully make me a better person!

RAARRRR!!!

tgif my foot... maybe its me... maybe its the nature of my work... maybe its the client... maybe its the management... i have developed a dislike for fridays. everyone around looks forward to fridays coz it is the start of weekend. me on the other hand, dread fridays. take example today. friday. my friends are screaming bored and happy frolicking the idea of today is friday. i on the other hand are jealous of their boredom. yeah. that is so weird that it sucks. i'm fine with working. in fact i actually do like my job. but its just.... not fun to have to do work super last min with super many changes. its also no fun to be the frontline and get all the scolding too. i mean i know how they felt. it is rather frustrating and a major pain to do things last min. to add salt to the wound, the client couldn't decide what they want. it doesn't help if the manager is not firm enough to tell the client 'hey, there's certain things can be done and not be done. also, lets have a cut off point". was that said??? nooooooo! it is pls do this, do that. hello? grandfather's company ah?? made me felt like hey, its bashing day today for you. pls enjoy the show. so no fun. but then, the supplier lagi kesian... she actually was so super stressed up until she vomitted. literally. neways, all is done and gone. hope you all have a fabulous friday....

lost?? NO way! this is the scenic route...

yes, a rather indenial statement...

what can i say or rather quote robbie "you guys are not malaysians". we are!!! hehehe... well it all started when me and may picked up our aussie friend robbie (from perth uni! miss him lots!) and his friend jamie at sheraton. that's like smack in the middle of kl city. purplerayn and i though we stayed in kl (and me later moved across the road to pj), we sorta don't really venture out to the city often. we are more happy mucking around 1IU or the curve area.

so for the weekend, trying to be good host and show our ang moh around kl. it was like a mission accomplish trying to get the hotel. however.... we took the wrong turn and happily drove off to the opposite direction. we didn't realised until purplerayn went uh... this doesn't look like its heading to klcc. upon looking around, we only just realised we went to the other way. then i smartly said go left which take us on the lovely scenic route..... back home! -_-"

somehow or rather we managed to find our way back to finally arrive at klcc. oh and another drama happened. my darling baby (the car) is very old and its windows don't exactly work. purplerayn totally forgot and wind the window all the way down. biggie boo boo. the window couldn't go up again. we found a nice parking BUT the window refuses to go back up. so there we were... adults looking dodgy and suspicious, trying to get the window up. we tried to switch off and on the engine, which the window did go up... halfway! i couldn't use the car alarm. i also couldn't just leave it there with a half open window as i might not find it there when we come back (yes, they are desperate enough to steal a 7 yo car!) but thanks to jamie, learned something new that day... (besides to lock the windows) that by locking the car using the remote and switch the engine back on, the window winds it up by itself! wicked!

met up with beels and chris (who specifically travel in fm penang just to see robbie!). beels suggested we make our way over to central market. asked if we knew the way there. so i told him, its like nearby petaling st rite. his face was like as if i was describing the way to singapore! hehehe... exiting the carpark was like another adventure. no, we didn't lost our way. we sorta forgot to see what level we parked the car. and jamie had the brillantest idea... "we didn't down any other level and we didn't go up any level. so, we should go down the next level and it should be where we parked!" unfortunately, the car wasn't 1 lever down. it was 3! hehehe... luckily the carpark is like 4 levels and 2 levels with the paying machine and we remembered passing a machine. so made our way to level 2, but according to purplerayn it was blue which was level 3! voila. car! hehehe... as we exited the carpark, chris msg... are you guys lost again? noooo.... we are not as bad as that, are we.
well after all went a smooth sailing... thanks to beels with experience in being tourguidey! and later we made our way back to pj! phew! no more boo boos.. hehehe. and have to highlight amazing wonders.... we had our dinner at dragon-i @ the curve. and after dinner, chris had to rush off back to the airport to catch her flight back to penang. so we did some 'grocery shopping' at cold storage. this is where the amazing thing happen.... robbie and jamie went on a rampage! bought like lotsa bottles of gums, more gums, a tubey thingy, mini cans of coke & fanta. makes me wonder if perth doesn't sell gums... BUT here comes the best bit... checking out the items bought, robbie bought a total of.... *drumming* nearly RM50!! and you think that's a lot of money spent on buying gums, lollies and soft drink, wait till you hear jamie's.... RM91!!!!!!! i never know anyone could need to pay so much for treats!
neways i had a fabulous time and i do hope the guys did too... read more bout our (mis)adventures here. thanks to may for being driver of the day! and beels too! and chris for making time! sorry we miss fin and zee. i heart you all. it makes me wonder what would life be without friends.... and to think that 1 of my fave sentence is 'i'm anti-social!" oh well...

THE 'M' word

been a busy wusy past 3 + 1 (coming) days! its been rather hectic and lotsa hellos and goodbyes happened. but its good coz lotsa catching up with friends (i heart you all!) one for sure as i told vic we been to a lot of malls too.. but how he put it is the best "wah, 4 metrojaya in 3 days" hehehe... its coz i was looking for a particular dress for my bro's wedding. in the end, it doesn't suit me as much as i liked it. thanks, leng for your help and advise!

besides that, went on a "mini roadtrip" to puchong to bring the pooch to a vet with vic, kat, purplerayn and mush. a very enlightening adventure. and my darling pooch is all protected. hehehe... and for the first time ever, saw mush in a very very still mode. its just amazing. he was sedated for an x-ray but his mind is still active. we were like surrounding him and in awe that he's still. i know, mean of us. ahh and have to mention bout the cat in the vet. it is all white with 2 different colour eyes but not exactly very friendly. unfortunately, the dogs had a thing with it... ie want to sniff it, drink its water -_-" then later there was a dog that came in for a check up. purplerayn and i totally agree that it looks like.... a pokemon character, looks like an orange fox. not that i had anything against pokemons... hey, even my cursors are pokemon :)

oh oh oh... definitely must not not mention this too... on thur nite went to yum cha with vic and purplerayn at 'the apartment' @ the curve. very interesting. very nice ambience. will definitely make another trip there. coz its cool! for that nite, we had the finest seat... the toilet seat! hahaha... basically we had a table in the 'bathroom' area. there's like shower head, towels and even toilet paper! we ordered drinks and dessert - strawberry peach pavlova & coffee cupcake. super super yummmy! and purplerayn, she's very happy with it all. she couldn't express what she felt but thought the word started with the letter 'm' but when vic gave a suggestion, which was totally wrong! which of course, after much laughing on that particular word, she rather stick to the word "impress". hahaha... the next day, we found out the actual word... it is.... AMUSE! hehehe... so ppls, if you're at the curve, do check out "the apartment". next time we are there, would like to request for the bedroon (real actual ikea beds!) or upstairs!

the prime toilet seat... check out the toilet roll!

firsties and so forth>

ooooo, i've finally jump the bandwagon and created a bloggie... hahaha... frankly, i have wayyy tooo many things to rant rant and more rant. but i guess it is kinda weird to start it off, rite?? what can i say... hmmmm.... first and foremost, its like past my bedtime. but am up coz i need to pick up me numero uno piggy. k k, not exactly me but my dad's driving. those who knows me, yes yes I will ONE DAY attempt to drive. its just that i would love not to wipe half the population of m'sia you know. also am chatting with some frens, one who's feeling extremely jealous as mua would be on leave for the next 2 days! yay!!! don't miss me too much hor (1 of my fave sentence) hehehe... neways, today i had quite a busy day at work. it always kinda icky that time would pass soo fast and yet i feel like i have yet to get much work done. sigh! not to mention that somehow there's sooo many interruptions. i know how my manager feels! and to be honest, i dun think i have such patience. in fact, i think i'm quite well know for my outburst and plainly easily get irritated. but now is a totally different story from last year.... oh well... all in all.... to change for the better! :)
