Langkap is a small town in Hilir Perak district. seriously! there is such a place!

neways... that's the codename for this weekend getaway trip for the team to ber-bonding. At first, there were like clues on the place like it is in a jungly area, 5 hour drive, have to cook ourselves, no hot water and to meet at the office at 6.45am! when they disclose that its bukit merah and penang, all were relived! i mean... seriously i doubt most of us can survive in a jungle taman negara type of team building. i for one, prolly take the next bus back to kl! unfortunately, they weren't kidding on the 6.45am part tho. hum. its quite a task to wake up at 8am, it would be a challenge to meet up at 6.45am.
so the itenerary is as such: day 1 - meet up, break at taiping, close encounter with animals, bukit merah water park, mystery night. day 2 - conquer penang hill (i hope we are taking the train up), dinner ala pengakap style (bbq!). day 3 - home!
well, actually i was suppose to have a dress fitting session on sun then realised the trip and the fitting session clashed. so had moved the fitting session to june.... sigh. someone was rather unhappy with the situation but now all ok :)

HOT!

and i mean the weather! ughhh! i'm like sitting here sweating a bucket! and the weirdest thing was last week in penang, penang specifically rained! the whole day! what gives?!?!

on a different note... am looking forward to the days where the peaceful quiet (apart from the dog barking) would be precious. but of course am quite excited to become an aunt!!! and the baby is really shy coz we still don't know whether the baby is a girl or a boy. the doc says 60% girl! hahaha... wheeee.....

making a difference....

yesterday it was the company's community day... everyone was either teamed in visiting an orphanage or fundraising. so off we went off at 8am to pusat nur hikmah in kajang. we cleaned, fixed and feed. seriously... at first when we arrived there... we were like where to start?? and like everything also they want to keep lehh.... not exactly the biggest bangalow house and still want to keep. oh well... maybe they think they can somehow recycle kuaa. but all in all... it was fun, smelly and tiring. as one of the managers said, we came and did all with our hearts... something like that... but i do hope we managed to touched the childrens' heart as much as they had touched ours :)

oh here's one funny part, as one of the ladies donated fans so wanted to take pics of what was donated. so i just like suggested, yea yea ask the aunty that donated the fans to take pic together with the fans she donated. then one of the managers called me terrible coz i called the lady aunty and somemore she was behind me... well, i thought it was only polite to call so mah... luckily she wasn't really offended coz she still did spoke to me later... :P

goodbye 2008 and hello 2009....

to a new beginning that would bring much happiness and better prospect!

as much as i would like to reflect back on the year... i guess i'm a rather simple person. i would always go its ok. there will always be ups and there will always be downs. it all depends on how its handled. sooo therefore.... here's a good year ahead!!! cheers!
