i had sooo much fun in singapore with my friends! in fact met up with kat at bc's place once she reached. and whoever checked bc and fil's luggages would think they are either the most cleanest ppl around or dirtiest as they luggages are full of... soaps, soaps, hand washes! heheheh then we went to a mamak nearby until like 3am! we talked like there's no tomorrow! however, we were meeting up for breakfast as another friend was ffk-ing us on the initial fri plan and could only meet up for breakfast. lucky, we all managed to wake up thanks to the technology called alarm clock and mobiles where we call each other to wake the other up. we spent the day going to sg wang at a games' shop as fil needed to fix his xbox and played at the arcade. then we went to 1U to play another round of arcade and off to the airport to pick bc's dad up. by then... me and bc slept on the way back :P and earlier was laughing at fil for sleeping in the car. ohhh and i definitely cannot miss this bit.... bc actually drove on the wrong side of the road!!!! yea yea she says i tell this to every single person we meet! hehehehehe! but can't blame her since she's been driving in USA for a very looong time.
so off we went to singapore by bus.... kat slept pretty much the whole way! once in sg, me, bc and fil went to plaza singapura to go daiso and spent a good sum on sponges. and we were entralled by mcd's there as they were selling wasabi shaker fries. we were like staring at this guy's fries who at the same time was taking a bite out of his chicken. taste yummy... the wasabi fries... not the guy nor his chicken. and then off we go to jumbo's. unfortunately, there's no ocean sunfish served. but we had geoduck. and it doesn't taste anything like duck... but the buns.. fried and steamed.. yum yum yum yum yummmmzzz!!!!! however, joon says it doesn't taste as good as last time coz previously the fried buns were oiler and obviously less healthy. nevertheless, the crabs and the whole meal was good. of course with such fabulous company. and we proceed to mind's cafe where there's a heck lotsa boardgames. we played 'saboteur' - fab games of having to mole out the moles, and having to accuse and be accused at as saboteur!!! and scotland yard - another fab game of finding the elusive mr. x! unfortunately we sat a t very strategic place of having the other 3 tables around us playing 'kan cheong' games that involved a lot of screaming and shouting!!! gahh!
next morning me, vicman, bc and fil were suppose to have an early start to sentosa but unfortunately i woke up late :P by the time we arrive at vivo city, it were raining so we decided to have lunch first. which, fil, made a mistake to wanting to order carbonated drink as me and bc were dying to purchase 'Anything' (a local drink. apart from the original, it now comes in black, yellow and orange editions. there's also 'Whatever'). well... let's say its rather interesting and we all are not too sure of the exact flavour. after lunch, it stopped raining and we sorta detoured to daiso and bought more sponges, chopsticks and other interesting stuffs. going to sentosa, bc wanted to go over by cabel car but vicman advised otherwise as we still need to over to kat's for the bbq dinner. so across we go by the monorail. took pics with the merlion (chrissie-tina, remember merlionster!!! :D), took the luge (a sled like thing) down to the beaches, tandem biked across the beaches and then took the skyride back up. something happened here but i think i would be killed for mentioning it. besides, i wasn't the one that tells this to everyone else. fil does :P and bbq was fabulous!!! joon's new place is soooo posh! there's like a cabana area where there's an actualy mattress to sleep around and nice chairs around the pool. and bbq was... let's say easier than what we used to. like someone said, it wasn't the cooks that got better... it was the bbq pit that got upgraded! hahahaha
then finally our last day in singapore, we just met up for lunch at this very very yummy place that serves fish and chips! yummmy! and off we go home....
