another mind bender....

the other day i got a new bed so had to leave work tepat tepat on time. however, as i was telling my friends and colleagues, i got a new BED tonite, they heard i'm telling them i got a new DATE tonite. whhaaattt??? my pronunciation is failing me... T_T
